Divine Fits' Britt Daniel Reveals Yet Another New Band, Talks Spoon's Future

Though Britt Daniel maintains that his current band Divine Fits is “the real deal,” that doesn’t mean he’s resting on his laurels otherwise. In a recent interview with Exclaim!, the musician revealed that he’s about to start work with a third group, even though he’s already thinking about the Spoon record, as well.

“I’m going to be recording with this band — I’m going to be playing bass with Jason Narducy, who’s played with Telekinesis and Guided by Voices, and then Jon Wurster [of Superchunk/Mountain Goats] is going to be on drums,” Daniel explains. “We’re going to be making a record and we’re going to have to be there every morning at 11 a.m. We’re calling it Split the Evil at this point, but I don’t know if that’s what [Narducy’s] going to end up calling the project.”
